Co?optimization of active power curtailment, load shedding and spinning reserve deficits through hybrid approach: Comparison of electrochemical storage technologies

Under the constraints of fossil-fuel reserves depletion and climate change, expansion intermittent renewable generation creates a lot power integration issues which undeniably disturb overall system stability. Optimally planned, electricity storage systems are capable managing variability uncertainty energy sources, guaranteeing balance ensuring feasible economical operation. Here, outcomes derived by Genetic algorithm-driven priority list approach is provided, effectively quantifies impact sources on total production cost benefits storage. The experimental evaluation three benchmark scenarios shows that improvements exist in terms thermal improvement, lower curtailment load shedding avoidance cost. Zinc-air battery offers highest net present value at relatively low PV penetration levels. Increased levels favour Li-ion batteries followed Pb-acid Vanadium-redox flow batteries. In general, viability each device depends level, promoting technologies with capital costs limited shares, whereas higher contribution frameworks performance features become preferable.
